Public Sector - Overview

A common and recurring issue faced by virtually all Public Sector bodies is the enormous challenge of how to reduce organisational inefficiencies and maximise the use of both administrative and skilled staff resources - particularly against a climate of reducing head count and increased accountability.

Our Public Sector solutions are designed to help solve such difficult problems in cost effective ways, which are sympathetic to the needs of staff and which provide management information required at senior strategic levels.

Through our partnership with BlackBerry® we aim to ensure our Public Sector customers operate within the guidance provided by the Information Commissioners Office for the secure transmission of data using robust encryption via the CESG approved BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution for use with data up to  and including ‘Restricted’ level data (IL3).

As with the introduction of any technology solution designed to. tackle inefficient working practices the key issue is to understand. the environment and the inherent constraints within which remote. workers will find themselves - only at this point will a suitable and. viable solution be established.

Our solutions are based on reliable and unobtrusive technologies. designed to ensure that remote workers do not become targets of. unwelcome attention in community based environments as a result. of hardware/ devices they may carrying or using.

We continually evaluate new technologies and have a rolling. programme of upgrades and new releases especially in relation of. mobile devices and mobile technologies.

Being a BlackBerry application partner helps us deliver robust, secure and scalable solutions to our Public Sector customers where the BlackBerry architecture provides significant benefits - espeically in relation to data security and device management. This relationship also provides us with acess to a network of other BlackBerry partners within the RIM ecosystem further enhancing the range of solutions we can offer.

Recognising that not all our customers will be BlackBerry users we have all versions of our mobile software compatible with Symbian (Nokia type devices) and Windows Mobile and with Android development under development.

Our development roadmap also includes the redesign of our mobile applications using Adobe Air® for use with tablet devices such as the BlackBerry Playbook which will play a central role in our NHS/ medical applications strategy.
